Considering the studio unveiled ten projects between Black Widow next May and Thor: Love and Thunder coming in November 2021, which includes Disney+ series, there are tons of chances for Star-Lord to pop up, and by the sound of that reaction from Chris Pratt, maybe he’ll make an appearance sooner than returning for the Guardians threequel.
Peter Quill could certainly cross paths with the Eternals come November 2020 considering the upcoming film from Marvel seems to focus on the same cosmic world the Guardians have surfed the skies playing ‘70s classics to. A scene connecting the dysfunctional team with a brand new team of Eternals many audiences don’t know about yet could be a good call for the upcoming adventure.
Or maybe Chris Pratt’s MCU character will join his fellow Chris (of the Hemsworth variety) for Thor: Love and Thunder a year later? The two heroes are acquainted already since the recent Avengers films, and Thor even boarded the Milano at the end of Endgame. If Love and Thunder picks up with Hemsworth’s character right after the events of his last appearance, Pratt could have a role in that film too!
At the very least, Chris Pratt and the other Guardians of the Galaxy may be part of a Phase Four cameo setting up their return to the big screen in Phase Five. Is Pratt smiling about a post-credit scene we most certainly don’t know about?
